Apostolic Greeting
*Call to Worship Psalm
99:1–3
The Lord reigns, let the
peoples tremble;
He is enthroned above the
cherubim, let the earth shake!
The Lord is great in Zion,
And He is exalted above all the peoples.
Let them praise Your great and awesome name;
Holy is He.

Public Confession
Though
our sins are great, Your grace, O God, is greater. Thank You for providing for
the forgiveness of our transgressions. We ask You to pardon our sinful thoughts
and words of this past week. We also ask You to pardon our sinful conduct. For
all the ways in which we have offended You, we seek Your undeserved mercy.
Words of Assurance Hebrews
10:18–22
Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. Therefore,
brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of
Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil,
that is, His flesh, and since we have a
great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in
full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure
water.

*Declaring Our Faith[†] The Canons of Dordt: Spread
of Corruption
How did man’s
corruption, which resulted from Adam’s disobedience, spread?
Man brought forth children of the same
nature as himself after the fall. Being corrupt, he brought forth corrupt
children.
Does this
corruption affect all human beings?
The corruption spread, by God’s just
judgment, from Adam to all his descendants—except for Christ alone—by way of
the propagation of his perverted nature.
Pastoral Prayer
*Responsive Reading Psalm
16
Preserve me, O God,
For I take refuge in You.
I said to the Lord, “You are
my Lord; I have no good besides You.”
As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the majestic ones in whom
is all my delight.
The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied;
I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, nor will I take their
names upon my lips.
The Lord is the portion of my
inheritance and my cup;
You support my lot.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
I will bless the Lord who has
counseled me;
Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
I have set the Lord
continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; nor will You allow Your Holy One
to undergo decay.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
