Apostolic Greeting
*Call to Worship Psalm
105:1-4
Oh give thanks to the Lord,
call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;
Speak of all His wonders.
Glory in His holy name;
Let the heart of those who seek the Lord
be glad.
Seek the Lord and His
strength;
Seek His face continually.

Public Confession
Heavenly
Father, we thank You for providing our redemption. Please forgive our arrogance
and lack of forethought. We confess that we have spoken boldly when we should
have remained silent. Forgive our hasty judgments and lack of patience. We
confess that we have been quick to speak, but slow to listen. Forgive our lack
of grace and compassion. We confess that we have not loved as we have been
loved. Above all, forgive us for offending You.
Words of Assurance Ephesians
2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For
we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

*Declaring Our Faith[†] The Catechism of the Church in Geneva
What does Christ’s kingdom bestow upon
us?
We are given liberty of conscience to live piously
and in holiness. We are provided with Christ’s spiritual riches and armed with
power sufficient to overcome the perpetual enemies of our souls—sin, the world,
the devil, and the flesh.
What, in particular, do we gain from Christ’s priesthood?
First, as our
Priest, He is the mediator who reconciles us to the Father; and, secondly, by
Him we are given access to the Father, so that we can come with boldness into His
presence, and offer Him the sacrifice of ourselves, and our all.
Pastoral Prayer
*Responsive Reading Psalm
21
O Lord, in
Your strength the king will be glad,
And in Your salvation how
greatly he will rejoice!
You have given him his heart’s desire,
And You have not withheld the
request of his lips.
For You meet him with the blessings of good things;
You set a crown of fine gold
on his head.
He asked life of You, You gave it to him,
Length of days forever and
ever.
His glory is great through Your salvation,
Splendor and majesty You
place upon him.
For You make him most blessed forever;
You make him joyful with
gladness in Your presence.
For the king trusts in the Lord,
And through the
lovingkindness of the Most High he will not be shaken.
Your hand will find out all your enemies;
Your right hand will find out
those who hate you.
You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of your
anger;
The Lord will swallow them up in His wrath, and fire will devour
them.
Their offspring You will destroy from the earth,
And their descendants from
among the sons of men.
Though they intended evil against You and devised a plot,
they will not succeed.
For You will make them turn
their back; You will aim with Your bowstrings at their faces.
Be exalted, O Lord,
in Your strength;
We will sing and praise Your
power.
